Senior Director, Intellectual Property Strategy

Role: Senior Patent Attorney leading global strategy for Insmed's non-small molecule biologic patent portfolio, focusing on protein therapeutics, gene therapy, and antisense oligonucleotides. Responsibilities: develop end-to-end patent prosecution and challenge strategies, advise research and development teams on IP matters, manage patent filings worldwide, handle third-party disputes including oppositions and litigation, conduct competitor intelligence and FTO analyses, and oversee outside counsel. Qualifications: Ph.D. in life sciences, J.D. from an accredited US law school, and US Bar membership; 15+ years of patent experience in pharma/biotech, with expertise in biologics, gene therapy, and antisense technologies; proven success in patent disputes, global prosecution, and strategic IP management. Preferred: strong leadership in patent strategy, excellent communication skills, and experience advising senior management.
