Senior Director, Integrated Planning & Analytics – Global Supply Chain

Role Summary (Fully Remote – US-based):
Senior Director, Integrated Planning & Analytics leads enterprise planning across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial objectives through Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for a global rare disease supply network, linking decisions across Commercial, Clinical, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Finance. Serves as global process owner for IBP, driving 24–60-month planning, long-range capacity modeling, inventory strategy, and analytics to ensure reliable supply and patient access.

Key Responsibilities:
- Own global IBP framework for rare disease planning (demand variability, small batches, long lead times, constrained capacity) and maintain IBP cadence (Product, Demand, Supply, Integrated Reconciliation, Executive IBP).
- Own S&OE to align near-term demand/supply/inventory decisions to IBP and escalate appropriately.
- Apply patient-centric planning (emergency orders, compassionate use, urgent clinical supply).
- Integrate clinical and commercial planning for overlapping supply sources/shared manufacturing.
- Reconcile demand signals (commercial, patient, named-patient, early access, clinical trials); ensure supply plans consider cycle times, yield variability, cold-chain needs, and CMO dependencies.
- Lead inventory policy/targets/positioning to minimize expiry while ensuring access for ultra-low-volume therapies.
- Lead risk-based scenario planning for demand surges and supply disruptions.
- Chair cross-functional IBP forums; establish governance/decision rights for trade-offs and lead Executive IBP decisions.
- Lead team development, training curriculum, and integrated planning playbook adoption.
- Partner with Finance (AOP/LRP) to embed revenue/COGS/margin considerations; integrate portfolio and support long-range capacity planning.
- Lead performance/dashboards, define IBP technology vision with Digital/IT, ensure data quality, and advance analytics for ultra-small population forecasting.
- Drive stakeholder adoption and mentor planners; serve as internal IBP/S&OP thought leader.

KPIs/Metrics influence: Patient & Service, Supply Reliability, Inventory & Waste, Forecast & Financial, IBP Process Health.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Life Sciences, or related.
- 12+ years progressive biotech/pharma/rare-disease supply chain or operations leadership.
- Proven leadership of global S&OP/IBP (long-range capacity, inventory strategy, executive decision support).
- Strong command of ERP, advanced planning systems, and analytics for scenario modeling.
- Demonstrated success leading senior executives in complex matrix organizations.
- Deep life-sciences supply chain understanding (access variability, long lead times, biologics complexity, patient-critical continuity).
- Strong financial acumen.

Preferred:
- Master’s degree (MBA/MS or equivalent).
- Biologics/gene therapy/enzyme replacement or complex rare disease modality experience.
- APICS/ASCM, SCOR-P, or equivalent certification.
- Experience integrating clinical and commercial supply processes.
- Familiarity with global regulatory/GxP constraints for rare disease therapies.

Travel: International travel 10–25% to manufacturing sites, affiliates, clinical hubs, and planning workshops.
