Role Summary

The Senior Director, HIV Treatment Marketing, ISL-LEN HCP Promotions will lead the strategy and execution of HCP promotions for the HIV Treatment long acting market. This role reports to the Executive Director of HIV Treatment Marketing ISL-LEN and requires strong leadership to set vision, drive performance in a fast-paced environment, and oversee budget and key agency partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of strategic and tactical promotional plans for the HIV Treatment long acting market and ISL-LEN brand.
  • Develop the ISL-LEN launch strategy and Plan of Action (POA) for field sales teams; coordinate with Commercial Learning and Development (CL&D) to provide guidance to implement.
  • Distill market research findings into insights that support strategy, positioning, messaging and POA; coordinate with the market insights team.
  • Cultivate relationships with thought leaders, key customers, and professional organizations.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Medical, Clinical, Regulatory and Public Affairs; lead cross-functional projects; ensure collaboration with Alliance partner and field leaders.
  • Work with commercial operations to establish and optimize procedures, systems, metrics, and infrastructures.
  • Collaborate with local/global marketing leads and sales leads for coordinated promotions across the liver portfolio.
  • Oversee agency relationships and performance.
  • Develop marketing solutions to complex problems aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Assist with forecasting and budget decisions.
  • Lead promotions team to develop and execute all promotional materials (personal and non-personal).
  • Lead training for ISL-LEN with marketing and sales teams in partnership with CL&D.
  • Monitor evolving landscape of long acting HIV treatments; provide resource allocation recommendations (marketing mix).
  • Provide direction across internal and external stakeholders; demonstrate strategic thinking and decisive decision-making.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with global partners and Alliance members; foster a collaborative environment.
  • Conceive and implement multi-dimensional marketing and business plans; oversee project management and budget management.
  • Demonstrate leadership, executive presence, and effective communication to gain credibility and drive results.

Qualifications

  • Required: 10+ years of marketing experience, primarily within pharma/biotech; prior people management experience; MBA or Bachelor’s in marketing or related field; healthcare professional promotional expertise preferred; broad cross-functional experience; strong budget management capability.
  • Preferred: Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical experience; PhD or Master’s degree with relevant focus; extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements; experience with revenue forecasting and expense budget planning; prior advertising, digital, or communications agency experience.
  • Required: Proven leadership skills, ability to set a vision, lead change, and mentor others; excellent executive presence and business judgment; strong communication and presentation abilities; ability to influence with and without authority.
  • Required: 10+ years of marketing experience in pharma/biotech with experience in HCP marketing and ROI measurement; track record of successful product launches; strong analytical capabilities for tactical insights and ROI evaluation.
