Position Summary
Senior Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) & Pricing will lead Rocketβs integrated pricing, value and evidence framework for gene therapies (focus: rare genetic cardiomyopathies and one-time in-vivo AAV therapies).
Responsibilities
- Lead integrated economic narrative and value communication for payers, HTA agencies, providers, and health systems.
- Develop and execute global HEOR strategy aligned to product strategy and market access priorities.
- Bridge U.S. and ex-U.S. stakeholders to align evidence plans with payer insights, HTA requirements, regional access considerations, and launch sequencing.
- Define global pricing architecture and strategy (launch sequencing, HTA thresholds, international reference pricing, reimbursement pathways, evidence threshold assessment).
- Conduct payer/pricing research, advisory boards, and value message testing; monitor policy/payer/HTA dynamics affecting access, price realization, affordability, uptake, and reimbursement.
- Build health economic strategy (burden of illness, cost-effectiveness, budget impact, scenario analyses).
- Design RWE programs (literature reviews, synthesis, natural history/real-world analyses, registries, post-launch evidence).
- Translate HEOR evidence into payer tools (e.g., AMCP dossiers, value communication, pricing/access support).
- Define trial and observational endpoints (HCRU, QoL, PROs, caregiver burden) and align value/evidence with access expectations.
- Oversee HEOR/pricing budget, vendor efficiency, and infrastructure (planning processes, model governance, SOPs).
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, MSc, MBA) in a relevant quantitative/scientific field.
- 15+ yearsβ experience in pharmacoeconomic research/analysis and international biopharma health policy/program evaluation.
- Demonstrated HEOR/RWE/economic modeling and payer/executive communication experience.
- Proven leadership in HEOR strategy; deep understanding of healthcare systems, payer landscapes, HTA, reimbursement, and regulatory environments.
- Pricing/access strategy experience for specialty/rare/high-value therapies (preference: cell/gene therapy, rare cardiovascular disease, ultra-rare).
- International vendor management experience.
- Strong cross-functional leadership and executive presentation skills.
Compensation/Benefits
- Expected salary range: $236,000β$314,000.
