Senior Director, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR)

Responsibilities:
- Lead development, execution, and communication of payer evidence strategies aligned with brand/Value & Access priorities for early-stage pipeline assets.
- Collaborate with Value & Access, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, and Patient Advocacy.
- Drive understanding of payer/HTA requirements for patient-relevant outcomes and health utility measurement.
- Assess patient-relevant outcomes requirements for HTA/access to support differentiation and value demonstration.
- Ensure payer evidence requirements are incorporated into clinical development plans.
- Develop cross-functionally aligned, asset-specific patient-relevant outcomes strategies informed by disease conceptual models.
- Lead patient-relevant endpoint planning and oversee implementation in clinical trials.
- Lead early Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) strategy development, including access implications/trade-offs across markets.
- Assess payer evidence gaps and inform integrated evidence planning for early-stage assets.
- Partner with external partners to execute asset-level strategies (e.g., PRO development/validation, health state valuation, patient preference research).
- Lead scientific interactions with HTA agencies (e.g., EU HTA JSC, NICE, CADTH), including briefing materials and evidence packages for PRO endpoints/MCIDs.
- Support scientific interactions with regulatory agencies and patient advocacy organizations.
- With Integrated Evidence Teams (IET), analyze/interprete patient-relevant outcomes data to strengthen value propositions.
- Shape scientific communication plans; present and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Assess business development opportunities for payer/HTA risks, evidence gaps, and access considerations.

Qualifications:
- 12+ years pharma industry experience; 7+ years in HEOR roles; at least 5 years direct patient-relevant outcomes research experience.
- Advanced degree in health economics/outcomes research/epidemiology/public health/health services research/pharmacy or related.
- Deep understanding of market access, value, and global HTA frameworks.
- Experience developing/executing patient-relevant outcomes strategies for payer/HTA requirements.
- Experience evaluating/developing/validating PRO measures for regulatory/payer/HTA decisions.
- Experience supporting HTA submissions, value dossiers, and patient-relevant briefing books.
- Ability to influence senior cross-functional stakeholders; lead multiple complex initiatives.
- Recognized patient-reported outcomes leader with external visibility/network.
- Experience engaging external stakeholders (HTA agencies, payers, health economists, clinical experts, patient advocacy).
- Rare disease experience preferred; people leadership/talent development preferred.
