Role Summary

The Senior Director, Global Pricing Data & Analytics, is a critical role responsible for building industry-leading pricing data and analytics, including advanced capabilities, reporting, data visualizations and state-of-the-art platforms including AI solutions. This role leads the implementation of technology platforms, pricing data strategies and business-related processes to facilitate price governance, international reference pricing analytics, launch sequencing, price certifications, and KPI reporting. It requires coaching a high-performing pricing data and analytics team (BAaaS) and collaboration across Global, Regional and Local levels to drive continuous improvement in pricing processes and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing Platforms: Lead development of integrated pricing systems and capabilities for proactive insights, decision-making, price forecasting, and horizon scanning; oversee development and implementation of the ModelN Global Price Management (GPM) platform, pricing database, governance, price referencing, launch sequencing, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Pricing Platforms: Partner with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams to upgrade and enhance the GPM platform; design tools to track governance compliance for price proposals; develop KPI reports to track pricing and access performance; support annual data verification and events collection processes for pricing data with necessary infrastructure, training, and tools.
  • Pricing Data Management: Lead development and continuous improvement of pricing data infrastructure, integrating disparate requirements into a cohesive data set for pricing and value strategies.
  • Pricing Data Management: Develop forward-looking pricing data strategy with fit-for-purpose sources; integrate existing data sources into a comprehensive strategy; develop leading and lagging analytics and KPIs to demonstrate pricing excellence; apply expertise in international reference pricing rules.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a 10–12 member BAaaS team focused on price data management, analytics, and reporting; develop advanced analytics and tools to support pricing decisions; propose analytical solutions to pricing & access questions; explore and implement AI solutions aligned with Global Pricing & Market Access goals; design tools to evaluate and monitor pricing models.
  • Work effectively across functions: Collaborate with local and regional pricing & market access teams to align with customer needs; drive change management and adoption of new processes, systems, and tools across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Required: BS in engineering, sciences, business administration, finance, health policy, or health economics; extensive experience with global pricing technology platforms (e.g., ModelN GPM, SAP); 10+ years in global pharmaceutical pricing (operational and strategic); at least 5 years of cross-functional leadership experience.
  • Preferred: MBA or Master’s degree in a related field; 15+ years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical companies or multinational consultancies; experience in above-country/global team roles in market access; track record of driving organizational change and implementing new processes and systems; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
