Senior Director, Global Data Storytelling Communications

Role: Senior Director of Scientific Innovation Communications at Lilly, responsible for developing and executing a strategic data storytelling narrative across the R&D pipeline from pre-clinical to Phase 3. Responsibilities: lead a team to craft consistent, high-impact scientific stories that enhance Lilly's reputation; serve as a strategic partner to research organizations and executive leadership; oversee congress and publication strategies; influence public perception and media coverage; coordinate with cross-functional teams including medical, investor relations, and commercial functions. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in communications, science, or related field; 12+ years of pharma/biotech communication experience; proven leadership of large, matrixed teams; expertise in clinical development, regulatory milestones, and scientific storytelling; strong media relations and executive counsel skills. Preferred: scientific expertise across therapeutic areas, experience with clinical data, regulatory, and congress planning; ability to synthesize cross-TA narratives into cohesive enterprise stories.
