General Summary:
The Senior Director, Global Clinical Operations and Medical Writing Technology will lead planning, architecture, design, development, support, maintenance, and future roadmaps for systems supporting clinical operations and medical writing teams. Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders to identify, prioritize, design, and deliver digital and AI solutions.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Partner with Global Clinical Operations and Medical Writing stakeholders to manage/prioritize the digital and AI technology portfolio and build the future roadmap.
- Present ideas and forward-looking plans to cross-functional senior leaders.
- Develop multi-year, leadership-driven technology roadmaps.
- Direct and lead a team of 5 plus a managed services team.
- Oversee a portfolio of projects/programs/releases/enhancements; ensure quality/timeliness and budget adherence.
- Proactively propose innovative tools/technologies, AI solution ideas, and process improvements.
- Enhance internal processes for demand management, resource management, delivery, platform releases, and operational support.
- Manage relationships with strategic software vendors and service providers.
- Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for business-critical applications (e.g., Veeva Vault CTMS, Veeva eTMF, Elluminate EDC).
- Ensure compliance with GxP regulations and DTE system lifecycle/change management requirements with Info Security and QA.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Direct biotech/pharma systems experience (clinical operations and medical writing).
- Hands-on AI opportunity identification and Agentic/Gen AI deployment; lead/support AI change management and training.
- Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP (Good Clinical Practices).
- Program/project, demand, resource management, and system lifecycle expertise.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years relevant experience.
- Biotech/pharma experience; manage implementation partners and managed services/offshore teams.
- Enterprise applications/SaaS implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and operational support procedures.
- Design/development/deployment using agile practices.
- IT financial management (budgets/forecasts).

Pay Range: $256,000 - $384,000
Flex Designation: Hybrid (remote up to two days/week) or On-Site (five days/week on-site)
