Head of Global Benefits
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a forward-looking, innovative global benefits strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Lead design, implementation, and continuous improvement of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs across the U.S., EMEA, and Japan.
- Drive operational excellence by optimizing benefits processes using technology and data analytics to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making.
- Own and evolve global benefits communications to increase employee understanding, engagement, and perceived value.
- Partner cross-functionally (HR, Finance, Legal, Procurement, IT, regional teams) to ensure compliance and seamless delivery.
- Ensure financial stewardship/fiduciary integrity (funding strategy oversight, vendor performance, risk management).
- Lead vendor strategy and governance (selection, performance management, broker/partner optimization).
- Establish and track KPIs using feedback, benchmarking, and data to improve program effectiveness and ROI.
- Identify and resolve operational/administrative challenges with scalable cross-regional solutions.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing global benefits team.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field (Masterβs a plus).
- 12+ years progressive benefits experience, including global/multinational leadership in matrixed organizations.
- Enterprise strategy execution with measurable outcomes; deep global benefits governance/compliance expertise (U.S., EMEA, Japan).
- Demonstrated innovation using technology/digital platforms/data/automation.
- Strong financial acumen (budgets, funding strategies, vendor negotiations, cost optimization).
- Proven people leadership, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management.
Travel/Work
- Occasional domestic/international travel (~10β15%).
- Hybrid role based in Bridgewater, NJ (remote most of the time).
