Position Summary:
Senior Director, Enterprise Data & Intelligence is responsible for establishing and leading Travere’s Enterprise Data & Intelligence function, transforming enterprise data into a trusted strategic asset that enables decision-making, operational excellence, and future AI innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute enterprise vision, strategy, roadmap, and investment plan for Enterprise Data & Intelligence.
- Establish and evolve an enterprise operating model balancing centralized platforms/governance with business-owned analytics by maturity and need.
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where trusted data, reporting, and analytics improve decisions and outcomes.
- Lead strategy/architecture/evolution of the enterprise data platform (scalable, secure, governed) to support reporting, analytics, digital innovation, and AI readiness.
- Implement maturity-based enterprise data governance, data quality, stewardship, and information management.
- Build the function using an MSP-first model, progressing to internal capabilities.
- Partner with Sr. Dir, AI Strategy & Engineering to ensure enterprise data is the trusted foundation for AI/ML/intelligent automation.
- Provide executive oversight of the portfolio (financial planning, investments, vendor management, enterprise architecture) and champion enterprise data.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (CS/IS/Data Science/Engineering or related) required; Master’s preferred.
- 12+ years progressive leadership in enterprise data/analytics/BI/data engineering in life sciences or pharma.
- Proven success with enterprise data strategies, investment roadmaps, and operating models aligned to business objectives.
- Experience leading enterprise data platform implementations using modern cloud and scalable architectures.
- Experience building capabilities using internal teams, MSPs, and consulting partners.
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, investments, vendor relationships, and strategic sourcing.
- Proven ability to influence executives, lead organizational change, and build cross-functional partnerships.
Additional Skills/Requirements:
- Deep understanding of modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
- Experience with data integration/orchestration/reporting (e.g., Matillion, Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data modeling, governance, metadata, MDM, and information lifecycle management.
- Experience enabling enterprise reporting, analytics, and self-service.
- Strong knowledge of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance in life sciences.
- Experience partnering with AI/ML and digital innovation teams.
- Prior line management experience.
- Executive communication, strategic planning, financial management, negotiation, and vendor leadership.
- Travel up to 10%.
- Ability to perform face-to-face/on-site work in San Diego (not 100% remote).

- Compensation includes base pay and short-term incentive, plus long-term incentive (company stock); Target base pay range: $219,000–$285,000.
