Senior Director, Digital Forensics & Incident Response

Role: Senior Director, Digital Forensics & Incident Response, responsible for establishing and leading AstraZeneca’s global cyber incident response capability. Objectives include managing enterprise-level cyber incident response across cloud, on-premises, and OT/ICS environments, ensuring forensic defensibility, governance, and executive reporting. Responsibilities encompass incident command, strategy development, incident governance, evidence handling, readiness exercises, automation deployment, metrics reporting, and stakeholder communication. Leading a team via a Director, Forensics & Malware Analysis, and a global CSIRT, the role involves building the function’s structure, staffing, and standards, with cross-functional partnership across IT, Legal, Privacy, Risk, and Security functions. The role demands leadership of a 24x7 coverage model, managing relationships with vendors, and continuous improvement through post-incident analysis. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in security or related fields, 10+ years cybersecurity experience with at least 7 in incident response/digital forensics, and 5+ years leading large incident response teams. High-value biopharma specifics involve handling incidents in regulated environments, including GxP compliance, clinical/data privacy sensitivities, and manufacturing OT/ICS response. Experience coordinating global, follow-the-sun teams and familiarity with attack tactics such as MITRE ATT&CK are essential. Preferred skills include certifications like CISSP, CISM, GIAC, and sector-specific experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
