Senior Director, Counsel – Litigation, Legal Policy and Strategy (Remote)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategy; advise senior leadership and the business on litigation, policy engagement, and other advocacy shaping the pharmaceutical industry.
- Identify and assess new affirmative litigation and advocacy opportunities to advance policy objectives.
- Provide litigation counsel on legal policy/strategy priorities; draft and review communications and comment letters.
- Manage litigation, government investigations, and other disputes across the portfolio from strategy through resolution.
- Lead and manage outside counsel; develop/oversee budgets and coordinate internal efforts.
- Engage external parties (government agencies, state AGs, trade associations, industry, policy/counsel network) to represent and advance legal policy interests.
- Build and maintain relationships across legal and business functions.
- Monitor and analyze developments affecting drug pricing, access, and reimbursement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and J.D.
- Active license to practice law.
- Federal court of appeals clerkship.
- 8+ years as a practicing attorney, including complex litigation and strategy development/execution at a global company and/or top law firm.
- Proven success in complex litigation (trial and appellate); discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and appellate briefing/argument.
- Experience litigating constitutional claims, statutory/regulatory challenges, and APA matters.
- Demonstrated policy engagement; ability to master dense new subject matter quickly and exercise sound judgment.
- Strong client-service orientation and executive presence; collaborative interpersonal skills.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa/work authorization sponsorship.

Additional Skills/Preferences:
- Experience with class actions, healthcare program matters (e.g., Medicare/Medicaid/340B), and fraud/abuse laws (e.g., AKS/False Claims Act).
- Experience managing litigation in pharmaceutical/other highly regulated industries.
- Interest in AI/emerging technology for litigation.
- Leadership, good judgment, attention to detail, strong written/verbal communication, and handling highly confidential information.
