Position Summary
Senior Director, Corporate Affairs and Public Affairs responsible for advancing RayzeBioโs corporate communications strategy and public affairs, including planning and executing corporate/asset-level messaging to position the company ahead of clinical-to-commercial oncology milestones and supporting RPT advancement for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational support for RayzeBio Corporate Affairs (internal/external communications and executive thought leadership).
- Develop and deploy corporate and asset communication campaigns aligned with RayzeBio and Bristol Myers Squibb positioning.
- Identify opportunities for engagement, education, and advancement of strategic priorities using corporate communications expertise.
- Build and grow external media relationships; serve as spokesperson.
- Navigate RPT advancement issues; partner with government affairs to advance patient-supportive policies.
- Build stakeholder understanding of RayzeBio differentiators (KOLs, patient advocates, patients, caregivers).
- Lead executive communications (tailored messaging, executive visibility campaigns).
- Ensure messaging continuity and corporate alignment with Corporate Affairs and Investor Relations.
- Support leadership reputation through strategic communications.
- Build internal culture via internal communications initiatives and an internal communications framework.
- Support project budgets and internal/external resources.
Qualifications
- Masterโs in communications/journalism (preferred).
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech corporate affairs.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams; operating in small biotech and within a large parent structure.
- Oncology drug development/commercialization knowledge; ability to explain complex science to diverse stakeholders.
- Stakeholder relationship-building (PAGs, KOLs, patients/caregivers, industry partners).
- Senior leadership thought leadership; crisis communications experience.
- Strong media relationships; spokesperson experience.
- Excellent written/oral communication; high EQ; strong interpersonal/organizational skills; ability to partner cross-functionally, translate strategy into messaging plans, respond to media emergencies, and meet deadlines.
