Senior Director, Solution Architect β Core Technology
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across Core Technology domains: Azure-first cloud (with AWS footprint), Microsoft 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Copilot), enterprise networking (connectivity, SD-WAN, global infrastructure), data center/hybrid hosting, end-user computing (Windows/Mac/mobility), workplace collaboration (Zoom, Teams Rooms), and ITSM/service experience (ServiceNow).
- Co-architect cybersecurity capabilities with Information Security across domains; align reference architecture, operational models, and enterprise risk requirements.
- Create reference architectures, design standards, and integration patterns; eliminate silos and ensure interoperability.
- Lead Core Technology architecture strategy to enable enterprise AI (Copilot, Microsoft 365, Azure AI) with secure integration and alignment to governance/privacy/regulatory expectations.
- Establish architecture governance (design reviews, standards, exception management), ensure GxP/regulatory/compliance/security alignment, and drive lifecycle rationalization/modernization.
- Influence across a federated org; partner with Data Services and Application teams; advise senior leadership on strategy/investments/roadmap.
- Align with key vendors/partners (Microsoft, Cisco, Palo Alto, Verizon/AT&T, Zoom, ServiceNow, Accenture, Lenovo/Dell/Apple) to deliver secure, compliant services.
Qualifications/Skills:
- 12β15+ years in IT infrastructure/workplace technologies; proven solution or enterprise architecture leadership.
- Strong architecture governance/standards, reference/integration pattern design, and technology lifecycle management.
- Azure/AWS, Microsoft 365 (Teams/Exchange/SharePoint/Copilot), Azure AI, enterprise networking/SD-WAN; security architecture (identity, endpoint protection, network security, zero-trust, cloud security).
- Hybrid hosting; end-user computing (Windows/Mac/mobility); Zoom/Teams Rooms; ServiceNow/ITSM.
Preferred:
- Enterprise AI enablement in regulated environments; digital workplace transformation; hybrid/global collaboration experience; service delivery/managed services integration; interoperability improvements; secure-by-design/compliance.
Education/Experience:
- Relevant IT infrastructure/workplace background (GxP-regulated environments such as biotech/pharma/healthcare strongly preferred).
Pay Range: $228,000β$342,000. Annual bonus and annual equity awards eligible.
