Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence Oncology R&D

Role Summary

Senior Director, Competitive Intelligence in AstraZeneca's Oncology R&D Strategy team. Lead delivery of competitive analysis to shape therapy area strategies and influence investment decisions, partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to understand the evolving oncology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of competitive analysis to shape future-proofed therapy area strategies.
• Drive in-depth analysis of clinical and commercial data and communicate critical insights to decision makers.
• Build and maintain a network of trusted cross-functional partners; influence strategy through intellectual agility and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years of experience in research/data analysis and evidence-based decision-making
  • Background in oncology, clinical/research or investment analysis
  • Strong analytical skills and learning agility
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams with influence without authority
  • Clear, concise communicator
  • Resourceful, motivated, decisive, proactive; able to manage multiple priorities
• Preferred:
  • PhD, MD, or MBA
  • More than 4 years of experience with clinical data/analysis (financial models, industry trends)
  • More than 2 years in Oncology
  • In-depth understanding of clinical data, trial design, or regulatory frameworks
