Main Responsibilities:
- Serve as NA General Medicines Business Unit sponsor/value owner for execution of the digital modernization roadmap across US General Medicines; align with NA Go To Market Capabilities (GTMC) and Digital NA.
- Drive integrated brand planning (Brands, Digital, GTMC) using a unified digital agenda across GenMed therapeutic areas.
- Provide commercial insights/business impact analysis to shape digital strategy and prioritization.
- Prioritize digital initiatives for highest-impact opportunities aligned to business objectives.
- Own business readiness/change management for digital initiatives; advocate for digital standards.
- Shape executive narrative for AI/digital transformation; drive measurable impact and AI adoption stories.
- Define AI/digital business strategy via BU-specific cases, business cases, and tailored learning pathways.
- Serve as primary business voice for BU commercial priorities; translate enterprise strategy into BU execution plans.
- Lead business process transformation/automation; define success criteria and readiness for quarterly releases; optimize workflows across sales, HCP engagement, and patient services.
- Drive adoption/utilization of digital tools/AI; identify use cases and create hands-on role-based opportunities.
- Establish adoption metrics/feedback loops; translate patient/HCP/commercial needs into scalable solutions.
- Lead business requirements/success criteria for digital-enabled go-to-market models (sales, HCP engagement, direct-to-patient).
- Own end-to-end adoption journey (training, change management, monitoring, iterative optimization).
- Develop/present business cases; evaluate AI/advanced digital solutions using KPIs.
- Act as liaison to translate needs into prioritized requirements and delivery accountability; collaborate cross-functionally.
Basic Qualifications:
- 10+ years in digital transformation, commercial operations, or strategic roles in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
- 5+ years leading multi-year digital strategies with measurable business impact.
- Proven leadership of large-scale technology modernization (go-to-market/digital automation).
- Deep understanding of pharmaceutical commercial models (field sales, HCP engagement, patient-centric marketing).
- Strong therapeutic area knowledge; translate patient journey insights into digital solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across Medical, Commercial, PSS, Digital/IT, Data Management, and external vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adjacent industry background (Med Devices, Providers, Consulting, Health Tech).
- Direct AI/ML evaluation and vendor management at scale.
- General Medicines/specialty pharma portfolio experience.
- Direct-to-patient and omnichannel experience.
- Consulting in business process reengineering/change management.
- Strong ROI/business acumen; build-buy-partner and vendor evaluation expertise.
- Knowledge of modern digital platforms, automation, CRM, data analytics; agile delivery and quarterly release planning.
- Executive communication, influence in matrix orgs, change management expertise, strong strategic/operational balance, comfort with ambiguity, patient-centric orientation.
Travel: Approximately 25%β30%.
Education: Bachelorβs required; MBA/MS or equivalent strongly preferred.
