About the Role
Senior Director, Clinical Research & Development (Clinical Development team); remote. Reporting to the Vice President, Disease Area Head, Respiratory. Clinical leader supporting:
- Clinical evaluation of potential in-licensing or acquisition opportunities (Business Development).
- Cross-functional discussions with Insmed discovery research platforms as molecules advance beyond Late Lead Optimization.
What You'll Do
- Provide clinical input to overall assessment of external molecules (Due Diligence teams).
- Contribute clinical input to cross-functional planning for molecules from Insmed discovery platforms at Late Lead Optimization.
- Serve on transition teams for in-licensed, acquired, or partnered molecules.
- Oversee clinical execution; manage clinical development planning and external engagement.
- Maintain awareness of emerging science, competitive landscapes, and evolving global standards of care.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- MD, MD/PhD, PharmD, or equivalent medical training.
- Board certification in internal medicine specialty preferred.
- At least 7 years clinical development experience in biotech/pharma with meaningful drug development experience across modalities (oral small molecules and biologics); combination drug–device experience preferred.
You Are or You Also Have
- Original NDA, MAA, and J-NDA experience.
- Leadership in global Phase 1–2a program design, execution, and interpretation; combination drug–device and later-stage experience.
- Strong understanding of regulatory pathways (FDA, EMA, PMDA).
- Proven ability to lead and influence in cross-functional, matrixed organizations.
- Excellent written/verbal communication with scientific, regulatory, and executive stakeholders.
Travel
- Occasional domestic/international travel up to 20%.
Pay Range
- $273,000.00–372,000.00 annual.
