Senior Director, Category Management and Procurement – API and Third Party Manufacturing

Role Overview:
- Own end-to-end category management and portfolio execution for TPM spend.
- Serve as single point of accountability for all TPM categories; lead global category professionals and transform procurement to a best-in-class organization.

Key Responsibilities:
Category & Portfolio Leadership
- Own global TPM category strategies aligned to business priorities/roadmap.
- Provide procurement oversight and execution leadership for the TPM portfolio.
Strategy, Value & Execution
- Lead development/execution of Category Management Plans delivering measurable value, synergies, and operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement (people/process/governance/systems/reporting).
- Provide executive-ready insights; maintain P&L accountability (budget, value delivery, financial performance).
Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment
- Partner with TPM leadership and procurement stakeholders; anticipate business needs and enable innovation/continuity.
People Leadership & Transformation
- Lead/coach global team; build capability and succession pipeline.
- Champion TPM procurement transformation (simplify execution, strengthen governance, raise performance).

Qualifications:
- 12+ years strategic sourcing/procurement; 5+ years in pharma/life sciences preferred.
- Demonstrated TPM procurement expertise; proven leadership of teams/complex category portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree required (science/business/finance/supply chain/engineering preferred).
- MBA or relevant MS/PhD strongly preferred.
- Procurement/supply chain/Six Sigma certification desirable.
- Preferred: Coupa, SAP, Ariba experience.
- Strong procurement best practices and contract law; global complexities experience preferred.
- Prior transformation/change management experience.
