Role Overview
Senior Director, Category Management and Procurement β API and Third Party Manufacturing (TPM): Own end-to-end category management and portfolio execution for TPM spend, ensuring speed, rigor, scalability, operational continuity, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Category & Portfolio Leadership
- Single point of accountability to VP Operations Procurement and CPO for all TPM categories.
- Own global category strategies balancing speed, risk management, value, and scalability.
- Align strategies to TPM business priorities/roadmap across development and operational stages.
- Provide procurement oversight for the TPM portfolio; deploy resources where most needed.
Strategy, Value & Execution
- Develop and execute Category Management Plans delivering measurable value, synergies, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement (people, process, governance, systems integration, reporting).
- Translate analysis into executive-ready recommendations.
- Maintain P&L accountability (budget management, value delivery, financial performance).
People Leadership & Transformation
- Lead/coach a global team; build capability and succession pipeline.
- Foster inclusive, high-performance culture.
- Transform TPM Procurement (simplify execution, strengthen governance, raise performance).
Qualifications
- 12+ years strategic sourcing/procurement; 5+ years in pharma/life sciences (preferred).
- Demonstrated TPM procurement expertise; proven team/category portfolio leadership.
- Bachelorβs required; science/business/finance/supply chain/engineering background preferred.
- MBA or relevant MS/PhD strongly preferred.
- Six Sigma/procurement or supply chain certification desirable.
- Preferred: Coupa, SAP, Ariba; contract law and procurement best practices; global complexities; transformation/change management.
