Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a Biospecimen Management team; oversee trial leads across therapeutic areas.
- Provide high-quality, efficient biospecimen management for BMS-sponsored clinical trials; act as primary escalation point for biospecimen collection risks/issues.
- Manage internal timelines with vendors and clinical milestones; proactively resolve/escalate vendor issues.
- Define, track, and report biospecimen management capacity and operational effectiveness metrics.
- Partner on strategic planning, process improvement, and service development; lead innovation to improve operations at scale and contribute to IT capabilities for tracking/reconciliation.
- Build stakeholder relationships; manage and develop biospecimen management vendors; serve as subject matter expert during audits and vendor visits.
- Maintain regulatory/GCP/ICH knowledge; apply scientific expertise to optimize processing/sampling plans; ensure regulatory/ethical aspects are embedded.
- Ensure resourcing/capacity planning across 100+ clinical studies; apply prioritization and financial/portfolio management.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific/clinical discipline (required); Master’s/Doctoral (preferred).
- Experience: 10+ years global drug development/clinical research with biospecimen management; 7+ years leadership of global cross-functional teams; experience across pre-clinical through clinical with operational/regulatory/ethical focus; experience with central labs, data management, and trial operations; corporate submissions/translational medicine experience; vendor relationship experience.
- Skills: Advanced GCP/ICH knowledge; biospecimen management systems; chain-of-custody tracking tools (consent management systems a plus); translate scientific/regulatory needs into digitization/technology builds; strong project/resource/financial management; lead global teams; strong communication/influencing; detail-oriented.
- Travel: up to 20%.
