Senior Director, Bioethics (New Jersey or Pennsylvania)

Key Responsibilities
- Lead selected bioethics consultations and delegated workstreams; provide practical recommendations and escalate significant/critical/novel matters.
- Support policy development, governance, and decision frameworks translating ethical principles into guidance.
- Advance bioethics thought leadership, including data ethics, AI ethics, digital health, and technology governance.
- Build trusted relationships with leaders and cross-functional/external partners; represent Bioethics within scope.
- Improve operational excellence (workflows, documentation, tools, mentorship, coordination).

Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Bioethics (required).
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device R&D with strong understanding of R&D/product development.
- Proven industry bioethics consultation experience; ability to challenge constructively and know when to raise/align/partner.
- Strong understanding of ethical, regulatory, and operational realities of pharma/med device R&D.
- Expertise in technology ethics (data/AI ethics, digital health, technology governance) and ability to build organizational capability/advisory models.
- Strong organization, emotional intelligence, judgment, diplomacy, and excellent written/verbal communication.
- Proficient in incorporating AI/GenAI into ways of working.
