Senior Director, Associate General Counsel

Role: Legal Counsel specializing in business development, M&A, licensing, and partnerships at Pacira. Responsibilities: manage and oversee contract functions for transactions, provide strategic legal guidance, draft and negotiate agreements, supervise and mentor legal team members, and serve as escalation point for complex legal issues. Collaborate closely with Regulatory, Finance, Clinical, Manufacturing, Commercial, and other departments to support diverse business needs. Requirements: JD, admitted to a State Bar, minimum 10 years of legal experience with at least 3 years in-house at a pharmaceutical or biotech company preferred. Skills: strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and legal judgment; experience with licensing, collaborations, and M&A in life sciences; ability to manage external counsel and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. High-Value: substantial experience in pharma/biotech legal transactions, particularly in licensing and M&A; knowledge of industry-specific contracts and compliance; ability to travel up to 25%, primarily to Brisbane, CA. Work setup: hybrid model with at least three days onsite per week; regular travel required.
