Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel

Role: Senior Director, Assistant General Counsel, providing strategic legal leadership and support for Protara's biotech operations, including development and commercialization of TARA-002 for NMIBC and rare diseases, and IV Choline Chloride. Responsibilities: advise senior leadership on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues; support clinical trial agreements, research collaborations, and investigator-sponsored studies; partner with Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Commercial teams on product development, promotional, and market access activities; ensure adherence to healthcare laws such as FDA, EMA, privacy, and anti-kickback statutes; lead legal support for corporate transactions, licensing, collaborations, mergers, and acquisitions; oversee legal risk assessments, training, and compliance initiatives. Requirements: JD from an accredited law school, active membership in a US state bar, 12+ years in-house legal experience within biotech or pharma, with significant expertise in FDA regulations, clinical development, transactions, and healthcare compliance; prior law firm experience preferred.
