Role Summary
Senior Director of Alliance Management, Cardiopulmonary & Ophthalmology, based in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, or Springhouse, PA. Leads strategic alliances within the Cardiopulmonary and Ophthalmology area of the Innovative Medicine Group, driving partnership strategy, post-deal objectives, and day-to-day collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical input for crafting partnerships and negotiating alliances.
- Lead post-deal strategic objectives and shape the relationship between partners.
- Ensure day-to-day activities are delivered and maintain clear communication across the partnership.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate and resolve potential issues.
- Lead partnership integration through all phases of development and commercialization, including subsequent agreements.
- Implement Alliance Management processes and tools appropriate to the alliance scope.
- Foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners to alliance goals.
- Participate as a member of internal and joint R&D and commercial project teams; facilitate joint alliance governance meetings and decisions.
- Communicate openly and proactively across all partnership lines, including Senior Management.
- Anticipate and resolve issues and conflicts from changing priorities and unpredictable events.
- Monitor progress of contract obligations and milestones and ensure partner satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Required: A BS degree.
- Preferred: An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical or commercial field.
- Required: A minimum of 10 years related experience in a scientific, technical or commercial organization.
- Preferred: Experience in operations or program management.
- Required: Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity.
- Required: Leadership experience in a large Cross-Functional team environment with ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across functions and companies.
- Required: Understanding of drug development and global commercialization.
- Required: Strong problem solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills; experience working with senior levels.
- Required: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and listening skills.
- Required: Ability to manage Cross-Functional complexities, think strategically and exercise good judgment.
- Required: Travel up to 20% as needed.
Education
