Senior Director, AI Data Science

Role: Senior Director of AI Data Science to lead strategy, operations, and innovation in AI/ML and data analytics within biopharma R&D. Responsibilities: define multi-year AI/ML roadmap; build and manage a multidisciplinary team; establish standards for model development, validation, interpretability, and responsible AI; oversee data platforms and pipelines on cloud infrastructure; guide AI governance, risk management, and compliance; and serve as a scientific thought leader externally. Qualifications: Bachelor's (15+ years), Master's (13+ years), or PhD (12+ years) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field; extensive experience in AI/ML solutions in clinical or pharma settings, including GxP environments; proven leadership, stakeholder influence, and budget management skills. Preferred: experience with clinical data standards (CDISC), clinical development processes, and AI governance. High-Value: focus on AI/ML in drug development, clinical data, real-world evidence, cloud platforms (Databricks, AWS), and GxP compliance. Collaboration: partners with Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, Clinical Data Management, IT, R&D, and external industry forums. Work Setup: primarily remote with travel up to 20% globally.
