Role Summary

Senior Director, Advanced Informatics Lead. Regeneron seeks a leader in advanced analytics to harness data insights for Global Development, improving productivity and accelerating delivering medicines to patients. Leads a team of data scientists to develop strategic and technical approaches for data access/quality, and to implement AI/ML algorithms for predictive and descriptive analytics, advising GD on data strategy. Acts as a key leader in GDโ€šร„รดs Digital Transformation efforts and liaises between the DT group and the broader scientific community in GD and Regeneron.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and implement advanced analytical strategies to extract maximum value from data, including answering clinical questions, predictive analytics in trial design, automating document analysis and generation, and automating development processes.
  • Supervise the development of prototype systems and approaches that, with IT, can scale to an enterprise level.
  • Lead a team of data scientists and developers to create tools and pipelines for advanced analytic solutions.
  • Drive development and implementation of cutting-edge analytic solutions with strategic alignment across GD and other Regeneron units to enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Collaborate with external partners to develop and implement relevant solutions.
  • Provide scientific and informatics leadership to GDโ€šร„รดs digital transformation strategy, with focus on organizational change management.
  • Present advanced analytic strategy to diverse stakeholders and influence senior executive leadership and non-technical audiences.
  • Develop KPIs to demonstrate the impact of advanced analytic strategies on GD cycle times and other outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven track-record of developing and scaling advanced analytic solutions and programs in healthcare or life sciences.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex datasets in regulated healthcare or clinical trial settings; understanding of clinical data standards preferred.
  • Experience leading teams and overseeing multiple analytical projects, focusing on AI/ML solution development and implementation.
  • Ability to develop and align data strategies that optimize data utilization and drive actionable insights.
  • Expertise in Python, R, or other programming languages; proficient in writing efficient, scalable, maintainable code.
  • Experience evaluating and validating analytic algorithms; skilled in model validation frameworks, data quality, and QA protocols.
  • Research track record with publications or grant support preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Travel up to 20% may be required.
