Senior Data Scientist

Role: Senior Data Scientist supporting Biologics Operations at AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center, focusing on leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to generate actionable business insights. Responsibilities include engaging with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, developing data models, preparing data using SQL and Python, and designing dashboards with AWS, Dataiku, and Power BI. The role also involves championing AI adoption through pilots and prototypes, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field; 3+ years (or 1+ with a Master’s) experience applying data science or data engineering, with proficiency in relational databases, SQL, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake). Preferred: Master’s degree, experience in regulated environments, and skills across multiple applications, including SharePoint.
