Senior Counsel, Patent Prosecution

Role: Senior Patent Counsel supporting AbbVie's immunology pharmaceutical products, focusing on patent prosecution and IP strategy development. Responsibilities: draft, file, and prosecute patent applications globally; manage patent portfolios; conduct prior art searches and patent landscape analyses; defend and challenge patents through IPR, opposition, and post-grant proceedings; advise R&D and business teams on IP matters; support business development through due diligence. Requirements: JD from accredited law school, USPTO registration, 5+ years in patent law at law firms or life sciences companies; experience in small molecule or biologics patent prosecution; technical background in molecular biology, biotechnology, chemistry, or related fields; strong legal, analytical, communication, and project management skills. Preferred: experience with pharma discovery/development, international patent prosecution, and patent litigation.
