Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal - Aesthetics, Toxins and Eye Care

Role: Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal at AbbVie, supporting strategic external collaborations in Aesthetics, Toxins, and Eye Care. Primary objectives include advising on legal aspects of partnerships, negotiating complex agreements, and supporting due diligence for new collaborations. Responsibilities encompass partnering with research, development, and corporate teams to align legal strategies with portfolio goals, interpreting and drafting licenses and collaboration contracts, and advising senior management on alliance matters across the product lifecycle. Requirements: JD degree, 5+ years of experience in life sciences transactions—preferably in a large law firm or pharmaceutical setting—with expertise in global collaborations, licensing, and R&D agreements. A scientific background or interest is preferred, alongside strong legal analysis, communication, and autonomous working skills. High-Value: Focus on biopharma collaborations within aesthetics, toxins, and eye care; experience with early and late-stage development, R&D, and commercialization; advising on complex agreements and strategic alliances. Work Setup: On-site at Abbott Park, IL or Irvine, CA, or South San Francisco, CA, with a minimum of three days/week onsite.
