Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal - Aesthetics, Toxins and Eye Care

Role: Senior Counsel, Global Alliances Legal at AbbVie, supporting strategic external collaborations in Aesthetics, Toxins, and Eye Care from discovery to commercialization. Responsibilities: advise on alliance, partnership, and collaboration agreements across pharmaceutical and device development; interpret complex legal agreements; draft and negotiate licenses, co-development, and research contracts; support due diligence and integration for new collaborations; work cross-functionally with R&D, corporate strategy, and business development; serve as a legal resource for senior management. Qualifications: J.D., licensed in relevant state; 5+ years’ experience in life sciences transactions, preferably in big pharma or at a top law firm; strong legal analysis, communication, and business judgment skills; background or interest in biology and chemistry; understanding of early and late-stage development, regulatory, and commercial concepts. High-value: focus on biopharma collaborations in aesthetics, toxins, and eye care, involving global licensing, co-development, and commercialization agreements. Work setup: in-office at least 3 days/week in Illinois or California; no travel specified.
