Responsibilities:
- Provide broad-based compensation and policy support to HR, managers, and employees.
- Conduct detailed job evaluation for new/revised positions (classification, exemption status, market-competitive salaries).
- Ensure accuracy/integrity of compensation and job evaluation data.
- Validate job requirements via job analysis (interviews, questionnaires, observation).
- Draft/review/update job descriptions in partnership with HR and business leaders.
- Support career pathways/job architecture by producing reports on job analysis/evaluation and compensation.
- Perform compensation analyses and market pricing (including FLSA testing/classification).
- Create ad-hoc analyses and decision-support materials.
- Assist with design/communication/administration of cash compensation, short-term incentives, and long-term equity awards.
- Support compensation survey submissions and results analysis.
- Support mid-year and annual merit compensation planning cycles.
- Improve compensation processes/guidelines; audit and optimize compensation systems.
- Deliver compensation education and stay current via training/technical publications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- Senior Compensation Analyst: Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years progressive compensation experience in HR.
- Compensation Manager: Bachelor’s degree + 8+ years progressive compensation experience in HR + 3+ years life sciences corporate/consulting.
- Knowledge of compensation theory and laws (e.g., FLSA, Equal Pay Act).
- Experience with compensation models/pay analysis and survey data (Radford & Mercer preferred).
- Skills in job architecture/career ladders, job evaluation grading, and competitive analysis.
- Knowledge of short- and long-term incentives; confidential information handling.
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables/formulas/charts) plus strong written/oral communication.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree.
- 1+ year life sciences corporate/consulting (Senior Analyst).
- CCP/GRP or related certification; PHR/SPHR; HR-related experience; HRIS/comp systems; publicly traded company experience.
