Senior Communications Excellence & Channels Specialist

Role: Senior Communications Excellence & Channels Specialist responsible for enhancing digital-first internal employee communications at Illumina. Objectives include optimizing communication channels, leveraging data and AI, and improving employee engagement and experience. Responsibilities encompass managing internal digital platforms, supporting employee forums and engagement programs, developing analytics dashboards, and enabling adoption of AI-powered communication tools. Requirements: 5+ years in digital communications, employee communications, or related fields; experience with AI, automation, and digital tools; strong project management, data analysis, and communication skills; bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or similar. Preferred: experience with content management systems, analytics tools, and corporate communications planning. High-value: focus on digital employee engagement, use of emerging communication platforms and AI, and cross-functional collaboration. Location: hybrid in San Diego, CA; onsite 2 days/week and as needed.
