Senior Business Analyst, Discovery IT

Responsibilities:
- Partner with Discovery teams (Biology, Data Sciences, Lab Systems, Medicinal Chemistry, Translational, Research Pharmacology, Process Development Preclinical/Process Engineering) to drive technology and automation solutions and operational excellence.
- Serve as product owner for lab informatics systems (Dotmatics, CLIMB, Lab Voice), managing full lifecycle from requirements through deployment, operations, upgrades, and retirement.
- Lead Discovery technology projects (lab automation, SDMS, robotics, non-clinical/tox/biology data lakes) and partner on LIMS with Sr Directors of GXP and Discovery.
- Lead change management for platform upgrades and new rollouts (communication planning, user enablement, stakeholder alignment).
- Provide training/onboarding to increase user adoption and ROI.
- Oversee Tier 1–3 support and ticket management with MSP support teams.
- Create eLNB and business-process stories for data capture/management; coordinate with SONAR Product Manager and SONAR development.
- Coordinate roadmaps and continuous improvements with Scrum/Kanban teams.
- Issue monthly compliance/progress/operational reports; ensure follow-up/escalation.
- Lead/co-lead cross-functional initiatives (workflow digitization, FAIR data, research capacity scaling).
- Coordinate software upgrades with vendors/MSPs; establish controls for data gathering; champion data-driven culture.

Qualifications & Required/Preferred Skills:
- BS in Information Management/Technology or Computer Science (required); MS and/or Discovery Science (Chemistry/Biology) highly preferred.
- 7+ years in Pharma/Biotech; 5+ years in Discovery.
- 5–8 years as IT business analyst or R&D product specialist.
- Experience with eLNB, compound registration, pipeline tools, inventory management, lab automation.
- Experience leading projects and/or Discovery business teams.
- Knowledge of FDA/EMA regulations (Annex 11, 21 CFR Part 11, Parts 210/211), Computer Systems Validation, and GAMP.
- Agile adaptability; AWS and cloud preferred; analytics/pipelining preferred; Pharma/Biotech lab/manufacturing IT experience beneficial.
