Senior Business Analyst, Commercial Operations

Responsibilities:
- Synthesize and interpret commercial data across CRM, specialty pharmacy, claims, payer/access, marketing engagement, patient services, finance, and internal systems.
- Build analytical frameworks to identify performance drivers, leading indicators, risk signals, and next-best-action triggers.
- Use predictive analytics/propensity models to identify customer/patient/access/promotional patterns.
- Lead marketing mix and promotional effectiveness analytics (channel performance, investment response, engagement, ROI).
- Partner with Marketing/Finance to assess investment tradeoffs and quantify risks/opportunities/impact.
- Define trigger logic and business rules for commercial alerts (patient flow, access friction, adherence risk, promo response, underperforming segments).
- Lead patient journey and access analytics to find leakage points and intervention opportunities.
- Improve forecast confidence by monitoring leading indicators and attributing demand variance.
- Translate findings into decision-ready recommendations and support planning.
- Partner with Business Technology/vendors on data/analytics infrastructure requirements.
- Mentor junior analysts; establish analytical standards and QA.

Qualifications:
- BS in Business/Analytics/Finance/Economics/Statistics or related (MS preferred).
- 5+ years in pharma/biotech/medtech/healthcare commercial ops, sales ops, business analytics, or finance.
- Deep biopharma/specialty drug commercial analytics experience.
- Hands-on patient-level/longitudinal data experience (specialty pharmacy, claims, hub, payer).
- Familiarity with syndicated market data (IQVIA, PantherRx).
- SQL and Python or R; advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- CRM experience; Veeva CRM strongly preferred.

Preferred:
- Specialty/retail/rare disease; targeting/segmentation; call planning/sequencing; launches/new product planning.

Working conditions:
- Hybrid Chicago; 3+ days/week onsite; periodic evening/weekend work; travel up to ~10%.

Compensation:
- Anticipated base salary range: $112,000–$140,000.
