Senior Boiler Operator, Engineering and Maintenance

Role: Senior Boiler Operator in Engineering & Maintenance supporting cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing. Responsibilities: perform preventive and corrective maintenance on boilers, chillers, wastewater treatment, and steam systems; troubleshoot advanced equipment issues; monitor water chemistry; ensure safety, compliance, and system efficiency; mentor technicians, oversee vendor work, and participate in emergency on-call rotations. Qualifications: minimum of 6+ years in maintenance, active Maryland Stationary Engineer Grade 1 license or DC 3rd Class Engineer certification, and wastewater treatment license; high school diploma or GED; proficient in CMMS, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting test equipment; valid driver's license. Preferred: technical associates degree, AutoCAD, and experience with pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic control systems. High-value biopharma specifics: on-site at Silver Spring, MD; supporting pharmaceutical manufacturing infrastructure aligned with cGMP standards, critical utility systems, and safety compliance; work schedule approximately 6:30 am - 3:30 pm, with rotating on-call. This role involves critical infrastructure management to ensure uninterrupted production of life-changing therapies.
