Senior Automation Engineer

Discover Your Role
- Design, develop, and implement software and hardware improvements to automated and new equipment under change control.
- Provide PLC- and HMI-based technical support to Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Facilities per established SOPs.
- Troubleshoot and investigate manufacturing deviations tied to automated control systems.
- Develop engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans in line with GAMP 5.
- Support process control and monitoring equipment through software design, commissioning, testing, and corrective action.
- Support small manufacturing, engineering, and validation projects.
- Author and execute Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) protocols and system specifications.
- Champion continuous improvement as an everyday mindset.

This Role Requires
- BS in Engineering or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent education/experience with process control or data acquisition systems).
- Experience designing and maintaining process control and/or data acquisition systems.
- PLC programming and troubleshooting; experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control system products and video graphic chart recorders (ideal).
- DeltaV DCS programming and troubleshooting (desirable).
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Full cleanroom attire and ability to remove jewelry/makeup/nail adornments when wearing cleanroom attire.

Location/Hours: Troy, NY; Mon–Fri 8:00am–4:30pm.
