Senior Associate of Sustainability Reporting & Governance (Finance-Controllers)
Responsibilities:
- Support monitoring, applicability, and impact assessments of global sustainability regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EU CSRD, ISSB, SEC, California Climate Rule) and disclosure trends.
- Serve as primary project manager for regulated sustainability reporting activities; act as liaison between Finance, Corporate Sustainability, Legal, GMS (manufacturing), Human Resources, and other functions.
- Coordinate components of the external assurance process; build relationships with external auditors.
- Lead process walkthroughs to support sustainability technical accounting policies and control framework.
- Design sustainability educational content and lead internal presentations to management and stakeholders.
- Represent the Controllers function on sustainability matters for company initiatives and internal committees.
- Develop, document, and execute the sustainability disclosure control program.
- Draft sustainability regulatory disclosures; collect data/disclosures from data owners and manage supporting documentation.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Sustainability or related field (required)
- CPA preferred
- 3+ years progressive accounting, finance, and/or sustainability reporting experience
Technical Skills:
- U.S. GAAP; SEC reporting; corporate governance; internal controls; Sarbanes-Oxley and statutory requirements
- Sustainability frameworks/standards: CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, TCFD, SASB
- Global sustainability reporting regulations and data landscape
- Strong project management; analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Presentation skills for mid to executive-level meetings
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (including Teams); Workiva and Power BI preferred
