Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct LNP formulation optimization and characterization
- Support in vitro/in vivo studies by producing LNPs encapsulating siRNAs and/or mRNAs
- Generate analytical data to understand physicochemical parameters of LNPs across payloads to support R&D
- Support novel method development of LNP characterization and delivery
- Develop and characterize formulations across therapeutic modalities (e.g., antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates and other emerging modalities)
- Design, plan, and perform experiments; contribute to project activities with some guidance
- Analyze, summarize, and present experimental findings to cross-functional teams
- Maintain electronic lab notebooks, SOPs, and documentation for data and protocols
- Collaborate with Medicinal Chemistry, RNAi biology, and early development teams
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Chemical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field; 2–4 years of industry experience focused on LNP formulation and delivery systems
- Hands-on experience with LNP formulation (in-line mixing and TFF); characterization (DLS, NTA, zeta potential, UV/fluorescence spectroscopy, HPLC/UPLC, ribogreen assay, capillary electrophoresis, gel electrophoresis, etc.); mRNA/siRNA encapsulation; and QC analysis (required)
- Experience with high-throughput formulation screening (plus)
- Experience with antibody/peptide/small molecule formulations/analysis and drug delivery systems (plus)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver conclusive results
- Adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong organization and attention to detail; high ethical/scientific standards
- Strategic, forward-thinking, and strong written/verbal communication
U.S. Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00. Eligible for annual short-term incentive and annual long-term incentive.
