Position Summary
Senior Associate Scientist, Analytical Development. Support routine and non-routine analytical testing for in vivo non-viral drug discovery and development.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical assays (ELISA, HPLC, and other methods) supporting research, process development, and quality control.
- Execute/document experiments per SOPs, protocols, and GLP standards.
- Analyze/interpret data and prepare clear lab reports/technical summaries.
- Maintain lab equipment (calibration, troubleshooting) and coordinate preventive maintenance with vendors.
- Prepare reagents/buffers/standards; manage inventory of consumables and supplies.
- Support method development/optimization under senior scientist guidance.
- Ensure compliance with safety/EHS guidelines and BMS corporate policies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with research, process development, and formulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
- 1โ5 years hands-on lab experience (preferably RNA and/or LNPs).
- Proficiency with ELISA, Western blotting, cell-based assays, UV-Vis spectroscopy, or qPCR.
- HPLC proficiency (method execution, column management, chromatography data systems such as Empower/OpenLabs/Chromeleon); mass spectrometry is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy.
- Ability to analyze data and present results.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry experience.
- ICH/GLP/GMP familiarity; regulatory submission exposure.
- LIMS; bioanalytical method validation; statistical tools (GraphPad Prism/JMP/Excel).
- RNA characterization (SEC, CE, RT-PCR, RNAseq).
