Role Summary

Senior Associate Scientist to join the DNA Core facility. Provide Regeneron laboratories with services vital for conducting scientific research including plasmid preparation and purification.

Responsibilities

  • Expanding e. coli cultures to various scales with growth media as well as bacterial transformations.
  • Purification of plasmids, bacterial artificial chromosomes and adenoviruses.
  • Sorting, labeling, storing and shipping of sample preps/plasmid aliquot requests.
  • Work with automated platforms and liquid handlers.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's degree with 3–6 years of experience or a Master's degree with 0–2 years of experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and communicate clearly with team members; capable of working independently and driving results.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with filter and bead-based plasmid purification, bacterial transformation, and liquid handling systems such as Tecan Fluent.
