As a Senior Architect for the Microsoft Platform, you will be responsible for implementing Zero Trust security architecture on the Microsoft 365 platform, improving the platform's security and resiliency. This role requires you to take full ownership of the Microsoft 365 platform as a product, driving its vision, strategy, and roadmap. The ideal candidate will need a deeper understanding of Microsoft 365 services, security best practices, and Zero Trust principles. This role will be pivotal in ensuring our organization's security posture is robust, scalable, and aligned with industry standards.
Develop and implement a comprehensive Zero Trust security framework across the Microsoft 365 platform, ensuring all components are integrated and functioning effectively.
Taking ownership of a product, driving its vision, strategy, and roadmap, and managing stakeholder engagement, innovation, and performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define security strategies, policies, and procedures that align with Zero Trust principles.
Align with the IAM team within security to improve the integration of Okta and Entra ID for optimal identity and access management solutions, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access policies, and least privilege access.
Ensure data protection measures are in place, including data loss prevention (DLP), encryption, and information rights management (IRM).
Implement advanced threat detection and response mechanisms, leveraging Microsoft 365 security tools such as Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Azure Sentinel, and Microsoft Cloud App Security.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards and implement governance frameworks to manage security risks.
Stay up to date with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies, and continuously improve the security posture of the Microsoft 365 environment.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of the Microsoft 365 platform.
Oversee operational and administrative tasks, including monitoring, maintenance, incident management, and configuration management, to ensure optimal end-user experience.
Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices and Zero Trust principles.
Work closely with other IT product teams, including infrastructure, software and device management, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of security measures across the organization.
Work with technology and service partners to stay current on upcoming features, product technical challenges, and problem-solving.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline and eleven years of related experience; or Master’s degree in related discipline and nine years of related experience; or Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The base pay range for this position is $163,000 - $232,000 annually. The base pay range may take into account the candidate’s geographic region, which will adjust the pay depending on the specific work location. The base pay offered will take into account the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity, among other factors.
