The Position
Responsible for ensuring reliable and consistent operation of identified local manufacturing applications. Improve reliability of process control systems to meet current and projected customer, business, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Functions
- Liaison with production (shop floor) and corporate; manage continuous improvement
- Present information clearly; explain industry jargon
- Identify application requirements through stakeholder management
- Gather stakeholder needs/process gaps; develop and implement action plans
- Provide input to product feature enhancements and process improvements
- Resolve system issues and discrepancies
- Coordinate/oversee software upgrades and releases
- Coach and train colleagues/stakeholders
- Schedule and execute plans with manufacturing schedules
- Lead/manage large projects for specified application solutions
- Develop/maintain application standards, specifications, and maintenance plans
- Own self-development to understand site process control systems
- Support audits/inspections as SME
- Use cLEAN tools (Systematic Problem Solving, process improvement, project management)
- Operate with Quality Mindset (risk management/mitigation)
- Implement effective Change Management
- Support corporate/local IT and stakeholder initiatives/projects
- Follow all safety and environmental requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs in IT/Engineering (or related) required + 8+ years IT/engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility and/or packaging systems
- Alternative: Associateโs degree + 10+ years experience (same area)
- Knowledge of PAS-X, POInT, PLC, SCADA required
- Proven planning/organization and project execution/management experience required
- Ability to translate high-level direction into actionable tasks using cLean/Six Sigma required
