Senior Application Architect, Adobe Experience Manager

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions supporting digital transformation.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve critical production issues up to full remediation.
- Engage marketing/stakeholders to understand business strategies, performance needs, and enterprise/AEM capabilities plus downstream system impacts.
- Translate functional requirements into scalable, flexible AEM solutions.
- Develop and maintain AEM technical design documentation (architecture diagrams, data models, integration specifications).
- Integrate AEM with enterprise systems and third-party applications.
- Collaborate with on-site and off-shore technical resources; lead technical design sessions and guide best practices and testing (test scenarios and data).
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in AEM development processes.
- Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for high-quality implementations.
- Monitor solutions for compliance with SOP, audit, security, and industry best practices.
- Stay current on AEM platform updates and recommend enhancements.
- Mentor and coach junior AEM developers.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 8+ years software development; 5+ years focused on AEM development and architecture.
- Extensive hands-on AEM experience (Sites, Assets, Forms).
- Experience with agentic coding and AI-assisted software engineering practices in AEM.
- Strong AEM architecture knowledge (components, templates, workflows, OSGi).
- Proficiency in Java/J2EE and related web technologies.
- Front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern JS frameworks.
- Integration patterns, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Expertise in deployment strategies, performance optimization, scalability.
- Excellent communication with non-technical stakeholders.
- AEM certifications (ACE/ACA) preferred.
- Knowledge of OS, relational databases, query languages, and integration/testing tools for web technologies.
