Responsibilities:
- Implement analytical strategies (off-line testing in lab; in-line/on-line PAT) to enable drug substance production.
- Select and apply analytical techniques (LC, GC, NMR, MS, XRD, etc.) to support chemical process development, generating data on mechanisms, kinetics, and impurities.
- Provide technical leadership for analytical/biophysical characterization; ensure methods are fit-for-purpose.
- Transfer analytical methods from R&D to manufacturing; improve robustness, accuracy, precision, and other ICH-aligned attributes.
- Plan/manage short- and long-term technical development, timelines, and resource allocation; communicate progress and changes.
- Collaborate across development and manufacturing to support clinical trials and regulatory submissions for multiple modalities.
- Coordinate instrumentation across projects; author/contribute to SOPs, technology transfer, diagrams, submissions, patents, and papers.
- Ensure alignment with development quality, regulatory, HSE, GLP, and GMP requirements.

Basic Requirements:
- BS (chemistry/analytical chemistry/chemical engineering/biophysics/biochemistry or related STEM) + >8 years relevant experience, or MS + >5 years.
- Experience with analytical characterization (e.g., NMR, MS, IR, Raman, XRPD) for synthetic/biologic modalities.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship.

Preferred:
- Analytical method development and transfer into manufacturing; control strategy development.
- Chromatography and spectroscopy (e.g., LC/GC; NIR/CD/OR); solid-state analytics (e.g., XRF, PSD, thermal analysis).
- Ability to drive/accept change; collaboration; influence/negotiation; prioritize amid ambiguity; strong communication/leadership; cGMP knowledge.
