Position Summary
Senior Analyst, SEC Reporting supports the companyโs external financial reporting process, including quarterly and annual SEC filings, financial statements, footnote disclosures, supporting schedules, and related documentation. Ensures accurate, complete, and integrated public reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SEC requirements, and company policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and own assigned sections of SEC filings (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and other required filings)
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, footnotes, supporting schedules, and disclosure tie-outs
- Coordinate XBRL tagging and review processes (including third-party providers)
- Maintain filing calendars, reporting checklists, and documentation for timely deliverables
- Support monthly/quarterly/annual close for external reporting
- Prepare/review reporting schedules, variance analyses, and account reconciliations
- Perform detailed tie-outs across SEC filings, disclosures, and supporting documentation
- Conduct technical accounting research; prepare accounting memos for complex transactions and new pronouncements
- Evaluate disclosure impacts of new standards and assist with implementation
- Serve as primary preparer for quarterly reviews and annual audits (audit schedules, auditor requests, supporting docs)
- Coordinate SEC reporting control milestones and deliverables; partner on testing/walkthroughs/remediation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in Accounting (or related field)
- CPA required
- 3โ5 years progressive accounting/financial reporting; 2+ years public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
- U.S. GAAP/SEC reporting knowledge; experience with quarterly/annual reporting
- Strong financial statement/disclosure tie-out skills
- SOX/internal controls and audit support experience
- Advanced MS Office (Excel, Word); high attention to detail and documentation
- Public accounting/public company reporting; SEC filings experience
- ERP/reporting systems (e.g., Oracle, Workiva)
- Life sciences/healthcare/regulated industry experience
- Technical accounting research and memo-writing skills
