Responsibilities:
- Own budgeting and forecasting for Research and G&A with department/functional leaders.
- Provide timely quarterly reporting and budget-vs-actual variance analysis; partner monthly to review forecast changes.
- Manage quarterly Research accrual close with SOX controls and GAAP (with partners/vendors).
- Own Research collaboration revenue recognition (ASC 606) with Accounting.
- Support annual financial planning and long-range planning.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Research, and G&A for decision support and ad-hoc analysis.
- Build/improve financial models and scenario analyses (program budgets/resource allocation).
- Evaluate processes/systems and drive efficiency improvements via automation/AI tooling.
Qualifications / Skills:
- 3+ years FP&A/Finance experience (biotech/pharma a plus).
- Willingness to learn; strong ownership mindset.
- Planful (or comparable) and NetSuite (or comparable ERP) experience a plus.
- Interest in automation/AI improvements a plus.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical, resilient, flexible; solutions/implementation focus; works with minimal supervision.
Education:
- Bachelorβs in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA or MBA a plus.
Compensation / Location:
- Salary: $130,000β$158,900.
- Brisbane, CA (Onsite).
