Role Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain FP&A is part of the Global Supply Chain Finance HQ team and is responsible for a variety of financial planning, reporting, and analysis tasks to support AbbVie’s global supply chain leadership. This position will play a key role in developing effective forecasts to support management’s strategic objectives, consolidating supply chain forecasting and reporting deliverables from other finance teams, preparing timely and accurate deliverables for operations HQ teams and business partners, and driving process improvements that deliver high-quality financial information for business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare drafts of annual Plan, update, LRP and LBEs as required. Complete required Operations FP&A submissions within deadlines. Work with supply chain business partners to understand key financial drivers and dynamics in each area.
- Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries and variance analysis.
- Support headcount reporting for the business units. Track actual headcount and open positions, as well as levels of contractor support.
- Support capital process, planning and reporting including working with project accounting ensuring accurate RCE reporting. Build annual capital plans and LRPs with partners. Track spending against RCEs and use those to create LBEs.
- Collaborate with business partners and operations FP&A to complete ad-hoc analyses as requested and support project teams. Provide guidance to business partners and communicate financial implications to business decisions.
- Assist with preparation of consolidated supply chain planning deliverables (LBE, Plan, LRP, Flash, etc.) for operations headquarters teams. Work with other supply chain finance teams to understand results and present that information as part of a consolidated reporting package.
- Support the administration of consolidated supply chain planning cycles. Develop calendars, templates, etc. to facilitate collection and consolidation of planning cycle results and ensure timely, accurate, and controlled results.
- Identify and drive system-based and process efficiencies throughout the team while building relationships with finance peers through collaboration and teamwork.
- Work closely with other departments within AbbVie to ensure that strategic initiatives are achieved.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- Required: Minimum 3+ years in finance or accounting
- Required: Knowledge of basic financial planning and accounting principles
- Required: Proficient Excel skills
- Required: Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to effectively interact with affiliates/areas and other internal business partners
- Required: Demonstrated effective project management and time management skills and the ability to complete work by established deadlines
- Required: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented
- Preferred: SAP experience
- Preferred: Financial reporting systems experience (IBM TM1, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP BPC, Oracle HFM, etc.)
- Preferred: Data and reporting automation systems experience (Power BI, Power Query Tableau, SAC, Workiva, etc.)
