Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Alliances owns and/or oversees execution, delivery, and relationship management of programs with Caris biopharma and biotech partners to maximize partnership value.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage/oversee a portfolio of strategic alliances programs: strategic value/alliance health (due diligence, health checks, annual operating plans); contract management; delivery (prescriptive delivery, partner requirements, provisioning recommendations, program execution, timeline/technical performance, escalation); process management and governance; alignment/relationship management (trust-building, continuous improvement, governance redesign, expansion opportunities, feasibility/risk/resource/timeline validation); proactive risk management (identify/assess/communicate needs, risks, dependencies; mitigation planning and issue resolution).
- Customer/Business Excellence: demonstrate solution competency, communicate Caris value, tailor delivery approaches, build/expand customer relationships, mentor and develop teams, drive continuous improvement, provide account-level forecasting (deliverable dates, sample volumes, risks, assumptions, capacity).
- Management (when applicable): lead/motivate/coach/develop team; foster high-performance environment; oversee day-to-day partner operations; ensure partner satisfaction and contractual obligation delivery; allocate resources; make data-driven decisions; support performance management, talent development, succession planning, and hiring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree + 4+ years in molecular biology/clinical molecular diagnostics/oncology; and/or managing multimodal real-world data; drug development/discovery; clinical research/study management; product management; companion diagnostics; healthcare implementation/delivery/program management.
- Manager-level experience or higher.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory/quality frameworks (CLIA, CAP, GMP, GCP, IVDR, HIPAA).
- Experience delivering/partnering on oncology offerings, lab services, therapeutic programs, healthcare data products, or clinical-trial enrollment.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams/direct reports.
