Position Summary
- The Senior Manager, Alliances is responsible for improving implementation and partner relationship management best practices and driving Caris to be recognized as a biopharma partner of choice.
- Own/oversee execution, delivery, and relationship management of programs with biopharma and biotech partners; advise on alternatives to support successful client relationships.
- Develop deep expertise in Caris capabilities to support alliance decision-makers across R&D, target identification/expansion, clinical trial enrollment and success, companion diagnostics, molecular profiling, real-world data initiatives, precision medicine programs, and target discovery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align efforts, streamline decisions, optimize resources, and achieve alliance objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic alliances: due diligence/health checks/annual operating plans; contract management; prescriptive delivery and high-quality execution; governance/process management.
- Alignment and relationship management; continuous improvement of alliances and expansion opportunity identification.
- Proactive risk management: identify/assess/communicate needs, risks, dependencies; lead mitigation and issue resolution.
- Customer & business excellence: communicate value of Caris solutions, provide best-practice recommendations, mentor and develop team, continuous process improvement, and account-level forecasting inputs.
- When applicable: lead/coach/develop teams; ensure partner satisfaction and contractual delivery; allocate resources; data-driven decision-making; performance/talent/succession/hiring support.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree and 4+ years in molecular biology, clinical molecular diagnostics, or oncology; or related real-world data, drug development/discovery, clinical research/study management, product management, companion diagnostics, healthcare implementation/delivery, or program management.
- Prior manager-level experience.
- Travel up to 20%.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business internet tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of regulatory/quality frameworks (CLIA, CAP, GMP, GCP, IVDR, HIPAA).
- Experience delivering/partnering on oncology offerings, lab services, therapeutic programs, healthcare data products, or clinical-trial enrollment solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or direct reports.
