Position Summary
- The Senior Manager, Alliances is responsible for continuously improving implementation and partner relationship management best practices and driving Caris to be recognized as a biopharma partner of choice.
- Own/oversee execution, delivery, and relationship management of programs with biopharma and biotech partners to maximize partnership value.
- Collaborate with BioPartnering leaders to understand in-flight contractual discussions, ensure delivery of contractual obligations, and advise on feasible alternatives.
- Build expertise in Caris capabilities to support R&D, target identification, indication expansion, commercial efficiency, clinical trial enrollment/success, companion diagnostics, molecular profiling, real-world data/precision medicine initiatives, and target discovery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align efforts, streamline decision-making, optimize resources, and achieve alliance objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of strategic alliances programs: due diligence/health checks, annual operating plans, contract management, and delivery (end-to-end execution of alliance commitments).
- Establish governance and process management; lead partner implementations.
- Drive intra-/inter-company alignment, continuous improvement, redesign governance, identify expansion opportunities, and validate feasibility/risks/timelines.
- Proactive risk management: identify/assess/communicate partner needs, risks, dependencies; lead mitigation and issue resolution.
- Customer/business excellence: communicate Caris value, tailor delivery, mentor, improve processes, pilot approaches, and provide forecasting inputs.
- (When applicable) Lead and develop team; manage day-to-day partner operations; allocate resources; make data-driven decisions; support performance/talent planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years in molecular biology, clinical molecular diagnostics, oncology; or related areas (real-world data, drug development/discovery, clinical research/study management, product management, companion diagnostics, healthcare implementation/delivery, or program management).
- Manager-level experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and business internet tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of CLIA, CAP, GMP, GCP, IVDR, HIPAA and impact on operations.
- Experience delivering/partnering on oncology offerings, lab services, therapeutic programs, healthcare data products, or clinical-trial enrollment.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and/or direct reports.
